Jaferia Youth visited the Hope Lodge American Cancer Society on March 19^th, 2008.  We were given the task of cooking and serving dinner to residents of the Hope Lodge. 

 The residents are all cancer patients who are receiving various radiation and chemotherapies.  Approximately 20 members of Jaferia Youth took time out of their spring break to come and help out.  It was a great experience with all the patients enjoying the food as well as their interaction with us.  The menu included Rice, Butter Chicken, Ground Beef, Baked Potatoes, Spaghetti and Halwa.  Along with the food we were able to provide some information about Islam, Imam Husain and answer some questions that the patients had about Islam. A great experience for everyone present. May Allah(swt) bless everyone who came.
