Database Administrator Non-Merit - Salary - $28.00 - $45.25 hourly $49,504.00 - $80,002.00 annually - Description - Scheduled Hours per week: 34 hours per week A Non-Merit vacancy exists in the Office of Information Technology. Non-Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan. You must include the dates of the promotions and reclassifications. - Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, which included at least four courses in the field of computers; plus at least three years database administration experience. Additional database administration experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education. Required experience to include the following: Database design/data modeling, performance tuning, and backup and recovery procedures. Development of SQL scripts, stored procedures and other database objects. Operating system command language. Systems Development Methodology. - Character Requirement - Persons appointed to this classification must be of good moral character and emotionally stable as determined by a comprehensive background investigation and a drug test. - Proof of Education - Applicants are required to submit proof of education beyond high school to meet the required qualifications of the position.
