Job Description

Supports the daily operational activities of the Tax Reporting Unit within the Accounting Department through preparation of tax and other regulatory filings, and on a backup basis, supports other Accounting office units. Bachelor's degree in Accounting , Finance, or Business Administration. Minimum one to two years non-profit tax compliance/accounting experience is desirable; intermediate level of understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) required; MS Word and Excel proficiency; must be versed in computer-based accounting systems, Internet applications, and general systems literacy; ability to handle multiple assignments effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment required; must display self-confidence, knowledge and be a quick study possessing a creative mind, a critical perspective, and an ability to make decisions and take action; must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; and be able to work effectively as a member of a team of diverse individuals required; must possess good problem-solving skills and be able to make specific recommendations that enhance the company's overall objectives and goals.
