2. Moulana Naqvi: Opening Remarks
            -Our Community needs to be active outside of Ramadan

            and Muharram
            -People who present a mission need to maintain their image and             reputation inside  and outside the community
            -We must pay attention and respect our culture and religious 

            guidelines, remember to always have chaperones at our events
            -Remember to be models for the younger generations
            -Want to organize at least one big social event every two weeks
 
3. Community Service
            -Our trip to the soup kitchen was mashAllah very successful
            -It gave us an opportunity to observe the less fortunate and to         earn sawab by giving back to the community
            -It was also a good way for us to reach out to the community at             large and represent Muslims in a positive way
 
            -Blood Drive
            -It is on Feb 24th from 10 am to 4 pm
            -Our goal is 20 pints and we have about 30 ppl signed up

            so inshAllah we should be able to attain it
 
            -Ronald McDonald House of charities
            -Our next potential project will be end of march during spring

            break, date TBA
            -It will be a group of us volunteering at the Ronald McDonald

            house which provides a home for orphans and less fortunate

            families
            -We can possibly hold a toy drive before the event so we can take

            the kids some gifts
 
4. Public Relations and Community Outreach
            -We want to reach out to other churches and youth groups in the

            area
            -Will talk to Moulana Naqvi for 3-4 pastor's names and contact             numbers, speak to them about getting in touch with their youth             group and setting up some sort of social event
            -Will also invite the other groups to our community service         projects
            -We can also submit articles/reflections of our projects to local             newspapers, or at least document them for credibility in the      future when applying for grants
 
5. Interfaith/Intrafaith Events
            -Will have another career seminar combined with the wiladat of             Imam Hassan Askari in April
 
            -Imam Husain Event- March 15th
            -Speakers will be Reverend Hagler andMoulana Salahuddin

            -Hopefully we can have a discussion go on to get ppl more involved  (maybe a panel discussion due to the large expected crowd)
            -Want to invite the youth groups from the local churches to the             event
            -Theme is "Universal Values of Islam and Christianity as Portrayed  by Imam Husain and Jesus"
            -Will have a magazine to hand out at the event
 
            -George Washington Event-February 23rd 1:30 pm
            -speaker is Syed Bahar ul Uloom
            -expect about 50 ppl
            -Will start of with recitation of the quran, then Rahats intro of IIC,  then Asker's welcome speech, followed by 40 min lecture by Bahar ul Uloom
 
            -Johns Hopkins event- March 16th
            -Dr. Takim will be speaking
            -For shia/sunni interfaith
            -Details TBA
            -Youth Conference with Idara youth and IEC is on June 14th
            -Planning eeting on 2/17 with iec youth group at 2:30
            -Need to work on details including budget
 
6. Youth Events:
            -SAT Class will begin in April/May
            -Five sessions 3-4 hours each
            -Teachers include Salmah/Abid for math, Rahat/Asker for Critical             Reading, Sehar for Writing
            -Need to put in a lot of planning hours for the lessons
            -Need to set budget/fees for books and teaching material
 
            -Flag Football League
            -We are ordering a trophy
            -Starts March 23rd after sunday school
            -Begin giving out applications at english majlises
